Themed school-holiday intensives for children and teens aged 5–16 at Drama Scene in Umm Suqeim, the Middle East's largest skill-based performing arts school, operating since 2008. Programmes like Disney Musical Magic, Rock & Pop, and Bravo Broadway end in a mini-showcase for family and friends — a genuinely great first taste of the stage. Monday through Wednesday sessions run 120 minutes each during school holidays.
This session runs 120 minutes, for ages 5–16. Classes cover a range of media: drawing, painting, clay, mixed media, and increasingly digital art. Toddler classes (ages 2–5) focus on sensory exploration — the process matters more than the finished product. Older children work with structured techniques while developing their personal creative style. Many studios hold regular exhibitions of student work, which builds pride and motivation. Contact Drama Scene directly to ask about trial availability.
Parent tip
Resist the urge to judge your child's art by how realistic it looks. In quality art education, experimentation and creative risk-taking are more valuable than technical precision at young ages. Ask them about their work rather than telling them what it looks like.
