1. Who we are

Just Do It ("we", "us", "our") is an online marketplace for discovering and booking local activities in the UAE. Our registered office is in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For privacy-related enquiries contact us at privacy@justdoit.ae.

2. Information we collect

Account data: name, email address, and password (hashed) when you register. Google OAuth users share name, email, and profile picture with us.
Booking data: preferred date, notes, and payment confirmation details processed via Stripe.
Provider data: business name, address, contact details, activity descriptions, and uploaded images.
Usage data: pages visited, search queries, and device/browser information collected automatically when you use the platform (see section 6).

3. How we use your information

To operate and improve the platform.
To process bookings and send booking confirmations.
To verify provider listings and handle disputes.
To send transactional emails (booking receipts, status updates). We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.
To measure traffic and understand how visitors use the site (via Google Analytics).
To display relevant advertisements on the platform (via Google AdSense).
To comply with our legal obligations under UAE law.

4. Data sharing

We share your data only where necessary:

Providers: when you make a booking, the provider receives your name and booking details.
Stripe: payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.
Google: analytics and advertising services (see section 6). Google's privacy policy governs how Google uses data collected through its services.
Vercel / Neon: infrastructure hosting. Data is stored on servers in the region you select at sign-up.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Booking records are kept for seven years for tax and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your account at any time by emailing us; we will delete personal data within 30 days except where retention is required by law.

6. Cookies and advertising

We use the following types of cookies and tracking technologies:

Essential cookies: session cookies required for account authentication and platform functionality. These cannot be disabled without breaking core features.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, time on site, and referring URLs. This data is aggregated and anonymised. You can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising cookies (Google AdSense): we use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our platform. Google AdSense and its advertising partners use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This allows Google to display personalised advertisements to you. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time via Google's Ad Settings or via the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet. For more information about how Google uses data from sites that use its services, visit How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email privacy@justdoit.ae. You can also control advertising preferences directly via Google's Ad Settings (see section 6).

8. Children

Just Do It is a platform for adults. Our Terms of Service require users to be 18 years of age or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at privacy@justdoit.ae and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a banner on the platform. Continued use of Just Do It after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
