Hand-building and wheel-throwing ceramics for teens and adults, with every piece kiln-fired and glazed by the centre so students take home a genuinely finished object rather than unfired clay. The pace is intentionally unhurried and meditative — DIAC treats this as much as a wellbeing-oriented class as a technical skills one, which is part of why it draws such a broad age range of regulars. Ages 12 and up; sessions run Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons.
This session runs 90 minutes, for ages 12+. Classes cover a range of media: drawing, painting, clay, mixed media, and increasingly digital art. Toddler classes (ages 2–5) focus on sensory exploration — the process matters more than the finished product. Older children work with structured techniques while developing their personal creative style. Many studios hold regular exhibitions of student work, which builds pride and motivation.
