As one of the UAE's oldest and most reputable music institutes — founded in 1979 and still operating from its original Al Karama studio — Dubai Music School's kids piano programme runs group and individual classes twice weekly, building reading, technique, and repertoire with students grouped by level rather than strictly by age. Termly assessments track genuine progress. Ages 4 to 14; sessions run Monday and Wednesday afternoons, with a free trial available.
This session runs 60 minutes, for ages 4–14. Private lessons focus on individual technique and are ideal for beginners building foundational skills. Group lessons develop ensemble awareness and cost roughly half the price. Many academies follow ABRSM or Trinity curricula, providing internationally recognised grade examinations that mark structured progress from Grade 1 to Grade 8. Dubai Music School offers a free trial session before you commit.
Parent tip
Consistency matters more than intensity in music learning. A child who practises 15 minutes daily progresses faster than one who crams an hour the night before a lesson. Ask the teacher for a realistic home practice recommendation for your child's level.
