Esperia adapts the full sport specifically for younger children — a lighter ball and lower net make serving, passing, and setting genuinely achievable for 7 to 10 year-olds, rather than scaling down an adult game that would otherwise be too physically demanding. The environment stays fun and encouraging rather than competitive at this entry level. Sessions run Tuesday afternoons at the Umm Suqeim indoor venue, with a free trial available.
This session runs 60 minutes, for ages 7–10. Expect a warm-up phase, skill-based drills, and a game or activity at the end. Indoor facilities with air conditioning are standard across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, ensuring year-round training regardless of summer temperatures. Most academies follow internationally recognised coaching frameworks and provide all equipment — you just need to bring water, comfortable clothing, and appropriate footwear. Esperia Volleyball Academy offers a free trial session before you commit.
Parent tip
Ask about the coach-to-student ratio before enrolling. For children under 8, groups larger than 8–10 per coach typically mean less individual feedback. A good academy will be transparent about this.
