A genuinely rare offering from MK Fencing Academy at Hamdan Sports Complex, Dubai and the UAE's leading independent fencing institution since 2002: structured training across the Olympic five-discipline sport's fencing and combat components, for athletes already competing or serious about starting. Coaches bring international competitive experience and run the programme as a real pathway rather than a novelty class, with cross-training coordination for the swimming, riding, and running disciplines handled through the academy's partner network. Suited to committed young athletes, not casual triers. By assessment and application.
This session runs 90 minutes, for ages 12–18. Expect a warm-up phase, skill-based drills, and a game or activity at the end. Indoor facilities with air conditioning are standard across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, ensuring year-round training regardless of summer temperatures. Most academies follow internationally recognised coaching frameworks and provide all equipment — you just need to bring water, comfortable clothing, and appropriate footwear. Contact MK Fencing Academy directly to ask about trial availability.
Parent tip
Ask about the coach-to-student ratio before enrolling. For children under 8, groups larger than 8–10 per coach typically mean less individual feedback. A good academy will be transparent about this.
