As an officially licensed NBA Basketball School, this junior group runs the NBA's own youth methodology — dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork built through fun drills and mini-games rather than isolated skill repetition. Official NBA equipment and programme materials are used throughout, a genuinely different level of brand authenticity from a generically-named basketball camp. Ages 6 to 9; weekend morning sessions at Dubai British School, Jumeirah Park, with a free trial available.
This session runs 60 minutes, for ages 6–9. Expect a warm-up phase, skill-based drills, and a game or activity at the end. Indoor facilities with air conditioning are standard across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, ensuring year-round training regardless of summer temperatures. Most academies follow internationally recognised coaching frameworks and provide all equipment — you just need to bring water, comfortable clothing, and appropriate footwear. NBA Basketball School UAE offers a free trial session before you commit.
Parent tip
Ask about the coach-to-student ratio before enrolling. For children under 8, groups larger than 8–10 per coach typically mean less individual feedback. A good academy will be transparent about this.
