Vibrant, high-energy Bollywood dance covering iconic film sequences, classical mudra hand gestures, and contemporary Bollywood fusion styles — as much a celebration of movement and culture as it is a structured dance class, and genuinely distinctive among Dubai's kids dance offerings since few studios teach it as a dedicated discipline rather than folding it into general world dance. Ages 5 and up; weekend sessions run Saturday and Sunday late-morning, with a free trial available.
This session runs 50 minutes, for ages 5+. Classes follow a structured format: warm-up and stretching, technique work (barre exercises for ballet, isolations for hip-hop), choreography or creative work, and cool-down. Most academies hold an annual performance or recital — a genuine highlight for students and families. Dress codes vary by style: ballet typically requires leotard and soft shoes, while hip-hop and contemporary are more relaxed. Ocean Kids Dance Studio offers a free trial session before you commit.
Parent tip
Dance develops confidence through performance. If your child is hesitant, give them at least a full term before deciding — the end-of-term showcase is often the moment they discover they love it.
