A popular standalone workshop for pour painting and resin art — a distinctly different, more contemporary medium from Picasso's core kids classes, and one that tends to attract teens and adults specifically drawn to abstract, less representational art forms. All materials are provided, including the resin itself, which most people wouldn't have easy access to buy and experiment with independently. Ages 12 and up; sessions run Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons, with a free trial available.
This session runs 90 minutes, for ages 12+. Classes cover a range of media: drawing, painting, clay, mixed media, and increasingly digital art. Toddler classes (ages 2–5) focus on sensory exploration — the process matters more than the finished product. Older children work with structured techniques while developing their personal creative style. Many studios hold regular exhibitions of student work, which builds pride and motivation. Picasso Artists offers a free trial session before you commit.
Parent tip
Resist the urge to judge your child's art by how realistic it looks. In quality art education, experimentation and creative risk-taking are more valuable than technical precision at young ages. Ask them about their work rather than telling them what it looks like.
