Soul Surf Club's termly Kids Surf Club at Sunset Beach in Umm Suqeim — 10 to 12 weeks of Friday and Saturday sessions that take young surfers from paddling and pop-up drills on the sand through to riding real whitewash and green waves, depending on Dubai's genuinely rideable (if modest) beach breaks. Coaches run it as an actual club rather than a one-off lesson series, with the same small group progressing together across the term and building real ocean confidence, not just board technique. This session runs 90 minutes, for ages 7–14. Expect a warm-up phase, skill-based drills, and a game or activity at the end. Indoor facilities with air conditioning are standard across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, ensuring year-round training regardless of summer temperatures. Most academies follow internationally recognised coaching frameworks and provide all equipment — you just need to bring water, comfortable clothing, and appropriate footwear. Ask about the coach-to-student ratio before enrolling. For children under 8, groups larger than 8–10 per coach typically mean less individual feedback. A good academy will be transparent about this.
