Established in 1985, The Ballet Centre is Dubai's longest-running dance school, and its Foundation and Primary ballet grades follow the RAD syllabus taught specifically by RAD-registered teachers — a meaningful distinction, since RAD registration requires ongoing accreditation rather than a one-time qualification. Creative dance elements are woven throughout for younger students alongside the formal technique, and annual exam sessions are available for those who want the certification pathway. Ages 3 to 12; sessions run at the Jumeirah studio across the weekend and Monday, with a free trial available.

What to expect from dance classes

Dance classes in the UAE run 45–75 minutes depending on age and style. Classes follow a structured format: warm-up and stretching, technique work (barre exercises for ballet, isolations for hip-hop), choreography or creative work, and cool-down. Most academies hold an annual performance or recital — a genuine highlight for students and families.
