One of Dubai South's most popular weekend programmes, TFA's girls-only football spans the full range from complete beginners just learning their first touch through to competitive-level players, all coached by FA-qualified staff. The emphasis stays on technical development, teamwork, and game intelligence rather than treating it as a lighter version of the boys' programme. Weekend morning sessions run Saturday and Sunday on the GEMS Founders School pitches, with a free trial available for newcomers.
This session runs 60 minutes, for ages 5–16. Expect a warm-up phase, skill-based drills, and a game or activity at the end. Indoor facilities with air conditioning are standard across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, ensuring year-round training regardless of summer temperatures. Most academies follow internationally recognised coaching frameworks and provide all equipment — you just need to bring water, comfortable clothing, and appropriate footwear. The Football Academy (TFA) offers a free trial session before you commit.
Parent tip
Ask about the coach-to-student ratio before enrolling. For children under 8, groups larger than 8–10 per coach typically mean less individual feedback. A good academy will be transparent about this.
