For 9 to 16 year-olds who've outgrown the introductory stage, TFA's youth programme moves into genuine technical and tactical development — specific positions, team shape, set-piece routines, and full 11-a-side game understanding, taught by UEFA B-licensed coaching staff rather than general sports instructors. Three sessions a week at the GEMS Founders School pitches in Dubai South gives enough volume for real improvement without overloading a school-week schedule. A free trial session is available.
This session runs 80 minutes, for ages 9–16. Expect a warm-up phase, skill-based drills, and a game or activity at the end. Indoor facilities with air conditioning are standard across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, ensuring year-round training regardless of summer temperatures. Most academies follow internationally recognised coaching frameworks and provide all equipment — you just need to bring water, comfortable clothing, and appropriate footwear. The Football Academy (TFA) offers a free trial session before you commit.
Parent tip
Ask about the coach-to-student ratio before enrolling. For children under 8, groups larger than 8–10 per coach typically mean less individual feedback. A good academy will be transparent about this.
