A World Taekwondo Federation-compliant programme covering kicks, blocks, and poomsae (formal patterns), with controlled sparring introduced as students progress. Belt gradings happen termly, giving children a clear, regularly-reinforced sense of progress rather than one distant black-belt goal — something Warrior Academy specifically points to as a driver of both confidence and fitness in students who stick with it. Sessions run at Al Joud Centre; a free trial session is available.
This session runs 60 minutes, for ages 6–14. Classes follow a structured format: a formal bow-in, warm-up and conditioning, technique drills, and practice with partners. Children are never paired with adults. The belt or grading system provides clear milestones — most academies hold gradings every 3–4 months. Uniforms (gi or dobok) are usually required and can be purchased through the academy. Warrior Academy offers a free trial session before you commit.
Parent tip
Quality martial arts instruction emphasises restraint and respect, not aggression. If a class feels intimidating or overly competitive for beginners, it's the wrong academy. The best instructors create an environment where children genuinely want to return.
