Hands-on art workshops for children aged 5–12 at Sharjah Art Foundation Studios in the Heritage District, run by the Sharjah Art Foundation, one of the region's most celebrated cultural institutions. Painting, collage, printmaking, and sculpture use professional materials and draw inspiration directly from the Foundation's world-class collection. Saturday and Sunday sessions run 90 minutes in the heart of Sharjah's arts district.
This session runs 90 minutes, for ages 5–12. Classes cover a range of media: drawing, painting, clay, mixed media, and increasingly digital art. Toddler classes (ages 2–5) focus on sensory exploration — the process matters more than the finished product. Older children work with structured techniques while developing their personal creative style. Many studios hold regular exhibitions of student work, which builds pride and motivation. Sharjah Art Foundation Studios offers a free trial session before you commit.
Parent tip
Resist the urge to judge your child's art by how realistic it looks. In quality art education, experimentation and creative risk-taking are more valuable than technical precision at young ages. Ask them about their work rather than telling them what it looks like.
