Integrated singing, acting, and dance training for ages 8–16 at Sharjah Performing Arts Academy in University City, the UAE's premier performing arts institution, established in 2019. Built around genuine musical theatre repertoire, with students performing in fully-staged showcases inside SPAA's own professional theatre venues. Sunday and Tuesday sessions run 90 minutes, with a free trial class for students new to musical theatre training.
This session runs 90 minutes, for ages 8–16. Classes cover a range of media: drawing, painting, clay, mixed media, and increasingly digital art. Toddler classes (ages 2–5) focus on sensory exploration — the process matters more than the finished product. Older children work with structured techniques while developing their personal creative style. Many studios hold regular exhibitions of student work, which builds pride and motivation. Sharjah Performing Arts Academy offers a free trial session before you commit.
Parent tip
Resist the urge to judge your child's art by how realistic it looks. In quality art education, experimentation and creative risk-taking are more valuable than technical precision at young ages. Ask them about their work rather than telling them what it looks like.
